I've read a few posts that the fallen won't particularly make for a very difficult opponent in the next raid. I beg to differ, and here's why. 10 things to consider...
1. Weapons that track better than any other in the game
2. Invisible Vandals of all kinds (snipers, sword bearers)
3. Teleporting Captains
4. Captains and Vandals that know how to take cover very well
5. Vandals with swords that chase you aggressively
6. Dregs with knives that chase you aggressively (these aren't like dumb thralls)
7. Vandals that know how to snipe very well
8. Servitors that teleport
9. Bosses carry weapons that kill you in one shot
10. Shanks! (pests like harpies!)
BONUS: Randal the Vandal has family you haven't met!!!
Edit: I didn't even include the fact the fallen know how to run. Vex goblins only walked. Minotaurs would walk fast but not run. So since the fallen run, how much harder will this raid be?

Prime Servitor Kalipsis?
-
It'll all be cheesed anyways so who cares how hard it gets
-
Love Randal the vandal (:
-
oh, please, I hope they have a proper sub-boss position in the raid for Randal the Vandal. :D
-
I agree, I think it will be a lot harder than the other two raids.
-
We all know the Fallen raid will have a section where you need to kill three Wolf Walkers. At the SAME TIME *Maniacal laughter*.
Disclaimer: The word before "Walker" is indicative of the house it belongs to. For reference, look at the Walker on the Moon or on Venus
Edited by LordStilton07: 12/29/2014 6:14:15 PMShielded shanks is like saying that the VoG was hard for shielded harpies They won't use the Epic modifier And don't forget the giant shank that drops out devil walkers
-
Edited by Jin: 12/29/2014 6:17:34 PMHarpies and knights didn't have shields in 1st two raids. So most likely shanks won't neither.
-
Motherf*cking shanks in hard mode will be a pain in my anus and my anus already feels the pain.
-
Pretty sure the new raid is going to be endless waves of enemies, with a Prime Servitor and Kell combo coming at the end.
-
These are all reasons why I hate higher level fallen, except the shielded shanks only appear with the epic modifier I believe
-
All enemies will be immune to gjallarhorn rounds. Because this is the house of wolves and they control the wolf pack. Sounds like those rockets will be directed back at us.

1 - It's really easy to dodge those bullets 2 - They aren't exactly invisible, you can see them pretty easily 3 - VoG has enemies teleporting as well and it doens't make impossible to kill praetorians (unless they glitch) 4 - Enemies taking cover won't make a raid harder 5 - Thralls chases you as well and it's only 1 shot to the head + Jumping to avoid being hit 6 - Same as 5 7 - I don't remember vandal snipers taking cover, they just stand there and shoots at you until you kill them 8 - Teleportation again? 9 - What? 10 - Shanks won't be shielded, just like harpies aren't shielded on VoG and Knights aren't shielded on CE. I do think the raid will be the same difficulty as VoG instead of the same difficulty as CE (easy - normal), but I don't think you have good points. After CE, they will probably learn and make more mechanics to make the raid harder.

Yeah but fallen aren't really capable of an entire wipe like... Gorgons: willing you out of time Ritual of negation: fulfilling the oracles timeline Oracles: writing the future as the vex want Lost in time: stuck in an unstable period of time Death totem: Draining energy most likely Oversoul: draining the life or bombarding with some bad hive voodoo. What will the fallen have? Prime servitor ultra drain?
-
Yeah, you just mentioned the entire game of Destiny!
-
let see. oh ya it don't matter how hard the raid is because there will always be glitches to cheese the entire raid. I don't think 80% of the people who have cleared the dlc raid have done it without glitches and shit.
-
When they make a raid about cabal.. Will be the hardest
-
1: cabal is by far The hardest 2: hive 3: vex and fallen other than that, bungie can make it as hard as they want.. If bungie added pretorians instead of minotaurs on the conflux part it would up the difficulty by a mile.

This is where Randal went, he's gone for reinforcements for all the times we tried to kill him. We were warned of the consequences and we didn't listen, now we must face Randals Wrath
-
The shanks in hard mode turn sniper
-
Final boss should be the Queens brother in some sort of exoskeleton or tank
-
My idea was that this was alrdy leaked OK here goes Dual end boss raid Badass servitor folowed by Badass Captain Servitor gives shield to alrdy shilded captain however this shield changes element at random and DMG buff to those affected by it. that's the basic then the small stuff like stealth vandals shotgun dregg etc

1.You forgot Fallen Walkers. 2.Shock Grenades (the ones from walkers and drop ships) 3.Melee Captains, specifically the Majors. 4.Flak Cannons The fallen have tools specific for all ranges and the best armor unit in the game, puts the cabal tank to shame. The only thing they don't have is mobile artillery, but if they utilize the shock grenades they will be absolutely nutrageous. Out of all the enemies in the game the Fallen are the most adaptable, the Vex had a real problem with variation. There armor unit was underutilized and was borderline useless because of it's random firing when aggroed. Although they had the best snipers, which as you all have seen where heavily utilized in their raid. The hive had overwhelming melee presence and mobile artillery, but lacked long range fire support like snipers. Although arguably the boomer knights were basically snipers, Hive pretty much have numbers on their side. So do fallen, but more organized. The Cabal I believe to be the second most lethal out of the bunch, but they are really weak to snipers. But have excellent gap closing units, mobile artillary but zero long range capability. If Cabal had snipers, they would easily take the cake, Psions are in a weird spot because it was like they where supposed to do something but didn't at the last minute, I think Psions where supposed to be snipers as well, it makes sense, but then they would just be jackals from Halo. A Cabal Raid would have been really interesting because you could delve into the "psychic" aspect of the cabal psions.

Fallen walkers too? I can see a shield coming in on one of them bad boys.
-
my bets would be on "Randal, Vandal Rising" making an appearance alright
-
Nah, I think it'll be multiple priests taking place inside the Prison of Elders.
