I'm confused why we call it a grind. That seems to convey that I'm doing something that I don't want to do.

I don't mind objectives or working toward them, destiny just needs a better balance

Balance? Cool. So more what and less what? What I mean to say which things are fun and which are grind-ish.

The biggest grind element now is ascendant materials. I can immediately upgrade most things through play and purchase. Plus I sometimes feel the game is solely about loot which detracts from the sense that I'm actually saving earth from some darkness. Supposedly the main plot point.
