To Care Is Human (3D Render)

At one point in war, when the smoke clears and the battle is over, the end result. Always one person becomes emotionally distressed. Most wouldn't care about said person, nor would they try comforting them. But one person, the other soldiers who wouldn't think to intervene. The commander, the leader. One who cares enough, to comfort. To not make people feel like himself. To stop pain and suffering. He may be the leader, but he is an icon. A symbol of hope. One who cares is one who dares not to remember their horrible past. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Blender, Cycles, GIMP. Got this done a while ago, just didn't really post it yet. I was visualising the mood and atmosphere for this game I am creating. Also to define the personalities and mental properties of the characters. How they act, what they do, what they feel. Its not usual that I create a short story with an image. Feel free to give feedback :), I don't mind.

 • Testing and experimenting with some certain stuff in Blender. I know that I said it was finished but, I was just seeing if some lights could affect it in a way that would interest the viewer. Changed the hair to be more thinner instead of one big fat tube of a strand, but I think that you can see some skin. Can't help the grain, its either that or a crash. Must figure out a way to make it not crash and still render in a higher quality. Got rid of the blue gradient, It affected the visors of the other characters not the whole armor. Only used now to darken the background to get the interest on the characters. There's also a new character, I created him over the past month or so. Been wanting to put him in a render. Why not this one. Plus the leader's shadow affects his persona. Or thats what I imagine. Hopefully it didn't affect the perspective. Haven't added any bump maps, spec maps, normal maps yet. Need to make my own on the armor. Scratched and battered from the battlefield is what I would try to aim for. To give it more of a battle scarred feeling.
Practice makes perfect. Am I right?
