Halo or Destiny?
Which game is better, Halo or Destiny? Why? Halo started it all, Halo is Bungie's baby. I hear people saying Halo is better than Destiny on here all the time, and everywhere people say this. (Destiny is only winning due to it being a Destiny forum and it has Playstation users also now. )

You can't compare the two because they're gaming mechanics and audience are different. Halo is a FPS masterpiece with great PvP multiplayer. However, it is its story that captivated me since I turned on the first Xbox. Destiny is more of an MMO, which requires constant interaction amongst users and teamwork to complete stories in the game. If anything I'd compare Destiny vs. Borderlands, or any other comparable game. Because for me, Halo blows all FPS's out of the water.

8 RepliesHalo was a masterpiece in every facet. Every installment in the original three was ahead of its time. Destiny is the first bungie game I've ever played that didn't feel revolutionary. Destiny honestly feels like halo dumbed-down in regards to the campaign, multiplayer, and soundtrack. The shooting mechanics while loads of fun, are so much easier and user friendly compared to halo. The skill gap in destiny compared to halo is like comparing a creek to the Atlantic. Halo revolutionized so much of gaming in the last decade and destiny just didn't. Destiny will win the pole because its marketed to a younger crowd at a T rating, most of which haven't played a shooter game older than Black-Ops. On top of that is the PS community that never got to experience the golden age of halo. Halo is a better game, but the pole was over before it started.

I'm voting Halo. Only because I spent years of my life playing Halo 2/3 every damn day. Granted I've barely missed a day on Destiny. But its only been 3 ½ months.

1 ReplyThis is just the first destiny game it would be stupid to compare the two atm. That being said halo is the only reason I ever got an xbox. Halo 3 was one of the best multiplayer games ever. After 3 though completely different reach sucked ball sacks and 4 I only enjoyed the story multiplayer after 3 just didn't feel like halo to much cod in it since.

Hmm makes since clearly it's psn players voting cause they haven't played halo and can't voice an opinion on the matter. The only person who likes this better than halo are mmo people who like pve over pvp. And that category i give destiny the victory. Only cause the raids are fun! But the story and pvp on halo is just -blam!-ing awsome compared to this scrub as shit bungie whipped up last minute

Destiny naturally has more to do for end game content (although that somthing is TONS of grinding and running around in circles on harder difficulties) but I play games for the story and destiny failed miserably in its story telling. Hopefully it will get better but till then halo is the best. Oh and I enjoy the matchmaking better in halo
