I want to gouge out my eyes and throw them at you for saying such a senseless thing.
-
Have you played Halo? No, you haven't because you just said that Destiny's excuse of a story mode is "more developed" than that of the legendary Halo series.
-
Wtf are you thinking?
-
rubbish destiny locks you down a forces you to do everything just like any other game, the freedom is fake, you are free only to roam a map with a few scattered AIs who stand around waiting to die. public events are the only truly interesting feature and that will be copied and improved by every game out there.
-
Nope you are blind
-
Story is nowhere near as developed. The halo series even has it's own books. Destiny doesn't have crap for story. I don't count grimoire because one, it's nowhere in game. And two, it's background lore it progresses nothing.
-
The story is more developed. Dude, what game are you playing? My copy didn't come with any real story to speak of, let alone one that can compete with the Master Chief SAGA. Ever played Halo?
-
Story? LOL.
-
Wait, there's a story?
-
Lol story more developed? Hardly. There is definitely more you can do in Destiny, but that's it. Hence, the MMO aspect.
-
Wait wait wait wait....you say that the "story" is more developed in Destiny? I'm curious how that is.

Edited by HealableKitty77: 12/31/2014 11:25:16 PMMan I pissed off people

Never go full retard.
-
There is no story, it's just: defend Dinklebot, kill enemies, talk to Exo Stranger, repeat.
-
I love Destiny but there is no way in hell I could ever say that the story is more developed and fleshed out than the Halo Franchise (given it is the franchise not just the single game as is Destiny) but you can't tell me that the story actually is complete in any way in Destiny. Even for the limited short story that is in Destiny it really feels empty. Reading the Grimoire helps but that's not really the game now is it? Destiny, while having more variety and enjoyable replay-ability, still feels empty in meaningful substance.
-
If you read the grimoire cards then yes. Otherwise no. The story is halo is complete. Destiny has holes everywhere in the in game story.

[quote]If you read the grimoire cards then yes. Otherwise no. The story is halo is complete. I don't remember the story on Halo: Combat Evolved. was it better than Destiny?

Edited by ShpadoinkleBeks: 12/31/2014 6:30:44 PMUh yeah it introduced us to a new world with the covenant and the mysterious halo device. The story of ce is like one of my favorites. It actually gives us background and a world to get lost in destiny is all about loot not saving the universe and humanity even though its half baked story told you about dark and light the point of the game is loot the point of halo ce is to stop those covies from activating the halo but you fail cause the flood is unleashed and then boom halo 2 starts up. I loved combat evolved it threw me right into its lore and ce did what any new IP needs to do and that is establish a universe and central conflict to drive the series. I mean in ce the story is established and can be left on its own if needed destiny had so much going on it assumes you know the black garden it assumes you know what happened in the great war and it just throws you in this universe and says hey here are 4 types of enemies kill them they are bad that is about it. I have heard we are in the middle of the story in destiny but man they could have established a hell of a lot more than they did and unconventional story progression is no excuse for almost no background.
