You have very little play time, comparatively speaking...

I feel you I have a 28 and a 29 lock and hunter repectivly and still have no exotics

Do the weekly then buy something from Xur, do the nightfall and there's like a 1/3 chance you get an exotic (won't necessarily be a weapon), do some raids. It's hard to believe a level 30 doesn't have an exotic weapon yet. I got my first at 27.
