He put 2nd Jan, just some people (americans) right date backwards, so 1/2/15 is 2nd Jan and 2/1/15 is 1st of Feb

When you write it out, it's January 2nd, 2015. Therefor it's more sense able to say 1/2/15 then your ancient writing of 2/1/15
