You don't say "one January two thousand fifteen."
You DO say "January first, two thousand fifteen."
Thus, it is written; 02/01/2015 or 2/1/15
Even more reasoning:
When looking on a calendar, what's the first thing you have to find? The month. THEN the day. And don't even bother saying year, because the year is irrelevant since there is only one year on a calendar.
