In typical Destiny screw you fashion...... finally killed Crota on the raid last night after many attempts and I got the awesome "Hunger Of Crota" RL which will take over Dragon's Breath's slot immediately due to the superiority of the specs of HOC (it has tracking, cluster bombs and addition hive damage). The Gjallahorn is still the number one in the RL stakes but HOC is a worthy second

1 ReplyOnly buy if one of the following applies: A) You don't have Truth of Gjallahorn B) You are collecting exotics C) You have 3 characters and can easily replace the coins The solar explosion is only useful against less mobile enemies (like Valus on Mars strike) so pretty much works like legendary launchers. It does not have tracking so the minute you get Truth or Gjallahorn you will vault it. I have all 3 and don't touch it except for being idle.

1 ReplyI bought it for 3 reasons.... 1) I have 3 fully maxed out rocket launchers already but none that can be upgraded to the new 331 damage level, Dragons breath can 2) I don't have a Gjallerhorn 3) It looks the mutt's nuts ;-)

I have 36 coins and can get 18/week (I have 2 characters) so I'll prolly grab it because 1. I don't have Gjallahorn 2. I have Truth but Dragon is Solar 3. Have no 331 heavies yet. But if you are low on coins I'd prolly wait. A launcher without tracking is kinda meh. You'd prolly be better off with trying to snag the vanguard legendary when it has tracking.
