Hi guys I have a bit Of a dilemma, my daughter is almost two and has taken to the want to bite her finger nails quite frequently and it's causing a few problems. She's made one Or two nails really short which in turn has caused them to hurt which then makes her cry. What solutions have you found to remedy this with your kids? And any solutions are welcomed or products I can buy to help solve this dilemma would be much appreciated. As you're likely aware I'm in the uk so anything that can be bought here will be good to know :-)

Our boy had the same issue. We just stick to the truth and tell him what might happen if he bites his nails like bellow... Nail biting is also related to oral problems, such as gingival injury, and malocclusion of the anterior teeth.[2][5] It can also transfer pinworms or bacteria buried under the surface of the nail from the anus region to the mouth.[2] When the bitten-off nails are swallowed, stomach problems can develop.[5] Each child is different but letting our son know of the bacteria and pinworms he's putting in his moth and how he can get very sick from it usually works.
