Patrol Mission ideas

After doing a lot of patrol missions, I think there are a few changes that could be made to make them more interesting and more beneficial overall. 1. After a few hundred patrol missions, I see the name of the mission, and I know exactly if it's shock cores, docking caps, induction rods, or swivel turrets. Who cares what it's named! Just give them random names! Collect X amount of Fusion Colliders, Cooling Rods, etc. The person giving the mission never states what you are collecting, it's just the text of the mission that changes. So...make a bigger list of random text! (developer speaking) Put a large list of random names for missions with collect X item and need X amount. So on the server you have like a database that is just like 900 random names of items to collect, and so when the mission is picked up it hits that random name and say collect "RANDOM NAME" from fallen, vex, etc. This puts more variety in even though it's the same ol' kill for X amount of collect item. I think this would add the thought process of "Ooo now what am I collecting?" Not...maaaan not these again. 2. Other reputation! Future War Cult gives you a patrol mission. Vanguard reputation earned. Do whaaaaat? Why not give reputation with the faction that gives you the patrol? The players still have to do Crucible to get the marks to buy things, or how bout expanding the factions to give you other items like custom shaders or maybe a skin for your ghost for their faction, etc. Yes I know they have gear that changes the vanguard reputation to a specific faction, but why not just give X amount of faction, and X amount of vanguard on every mission? I think you would then have something that pulls players to actually even look at the other faction items. 3. Different color flashing beacons for different types of patrol missions. Sometimes I get a little tired of bringing up my ghost 4-5 times to find out what's available, what kind of mission I'm doing, etc. This would give more of a quick glance when I'm riding by at 100 mph on my sparrow of a patrol I might want to grab. Do something like: Red -- Kill X number of targets Blue -- Kill target this. Green -- Collect X number of this Yellow -- Scan Environment White -- Analyze Scenery
