People bought Xbox's to play Halo. It was a system seller.
Bungie made xbox, not the other way around.

Microsoft made Bungie. Without Microsoft, Bungie would be nothing, but without Bungie, Microsoft would still be around and fine.

A deal was in place for bungie to produce halo for APPLE then Microsoft outbid them. Bungie has history with Apple. Google marathon. Bungie has Microsoft to thank for getting their game to consumers. Microsoft would have struggled without halo as a launch title.

Bungie was around before the xbox. If it wasn't Microsoft, it would have been someone else to pick up the Halo franchise. If we're completely honest, they probably helped each other (in terms of the popularity of the xbox, not Microsoft as a company)

They definitely helped each other, but Xbox would have been fine without Halo. They had other exclusives and a great network/support.
