Needed 1 shard to get to 32. Had the entire raid to run on my alt.
2 energy from first chest
3 energy from abyss
3 energy from bridge
2 energy from bridge
3 energy, light of the abyss and sword breaker from crota. FML.
OR not getting fatebringer for 15 straight runs on my main, saying -blam!- it and grinding out a second character and getting it first try. Good/bad?
OR not getting boots in 20+ runs of the VOG. Finally got it to drop 3 months after I needed it to.

I think this post here is why I'm making a second character. For some reason it feels like you're more likely to get better stuff on an alt character.
