A good game has flow and most crucible maps lack good flow. In sports, games like basketball have symmetrical sides teams start on and gameplay supports movement and flow. In Destiny my favorite map is twilight gap, A and C spawns seem equal, B being crucial to winning, all guns have areas to shine in, and it's not too linear, there are multiple good routes.
Most other maps I don't want to play unless I'm in a party that can coordinate flipping spawns with. Saying "always party up then" is a cop out for bad map design. Very bad design.
If the basic layout doesn't work for game flow don't bother moving forward with producing the map, period.
