I know all that and I know they existed before Microsoft bought them, however they had no large marketing games, in fact I believe they were a company that made computer games on the early Macs along with maybe some other products. Regardless of their past really the only thing that matters is that bungie wasn't much and probably wouldn't have been anything if Microsoft didn't buy them. So yeah I guess I wouldn't exactly call them sister companies but they are related to the extent that both companies got their start from Microsoft. And yeah bungie was around but their real start was with Microsoft just like 343 with was forged buy Microsoft while still retaining some bungie company employees.
So I guess you could say they are like half sister companies or something along those lines but yeah not actually sister companies.
Also bungie should have stayed under Microsoft because obviously they don't know how to make an actual game without them cuz destiny is in every word a hollow fame with little to no content, and it apparently took years.
I still play every now and then regardless though lol.
