A ddos is not a hack it's a denial of service Think of it as basically thousands and thousands of bots logged into a network now if your talking about lizard squad they are not what you would call hackers the only reason they (where) getting away with what they (where) doing is because those thousands of bots where linked to multiple IP addresses and the FBI could not put a direct pin on there location.
