If you cheese crota, here are my assumptions of you.
1. It's too hard for you.
2. You're lazy.
3. You have never learned to do it the right way.
4. You think there's no problem with it.
5. You think it's cool.
6. You think it's bungie's fault.
7. You did it once and think bungie owes you a level 32 character.
8. "I don't have time" when you've played 700+ hours.
When the hard raid comes out and you're walking around clueless, I will laugh in your face and boot anyone who asks how to kill crota legit.
Edit: seems like everyone claims they can't find 5 other people. Not a valid reason. My friend did it solo and I did it with only one other person in 3 minutes. So try something else.
Edit 2: So, it comes down to this. People either agree with me or they hate me because they can't do it legit. I love these people! Haha.
-
Some people cheese, other people don't cheese. Everyone on both sides should shut the -blam!- up and stop preaching bullshit. It's your body of water why should I give a shit.
-
Justify giving a shit about what other people do. I'm personally not a fan of not actually beating it, thus my zero completions in 4 measly attempts, but I just don't give a damn how other people go about getting theirs. I have my own set of standards, but I don't hold anyone else to them.
-
I enjoyed it legit with a fun raid group, when you get a team that just enjoys the game. Have a few legitimate completions. I also enjoyed the feeling of payback I got when using the network issue. I remember week one of that raid and the sheer frustration and hours spend on that one checkpoint. For me the few times I did the glitch were to gain my rewards for hours I spent that first week on one boss. My last run was compleat lay legitimate though and was wicked fun. That bridge checkpoint is a hoot and the feeling of dropping Crota with a good team is unmatched anywhere else in game.

Edited by Void: 1/5/2015 11:49:44 PMWhen the hard raid comes out I'll still cheese it and then continue to laugh at your 1.20 k/d in crucible and a combat rating lower than 100. Completing a raid doesn't take much skill, just teamwork. I cheese it every week because I'd rather just play multiplayer and I just want the guns/gear.
-
Who gives a fuuuuccckkk!!!?!
-
Reason 2 for me and I have no probs admitting it. Too lazy to spend an afternoon finding people who are capable of doing it legit. Too lazy to spend wipe after wipe on it if it's not necessary (did enough of that during progress week1). As a race we are hard wired to find the path of least resistance. Cheesing the raid is no diff. Just for context as I know someone will comment on me being a 'bad' or 'skills less'. I did the raid legit for the first 2 weeks and killed Crota day 2 after progressing through the raid with no info/guides. Loved the experience but 'too lazy' to do that each week 2 times over.
-
I hate the Cheese personally but... I still do it since it seems that's the only way anyone knows how to beat Crota and I simply don't have a dedicated raid team. I have done it legit and it's actually easier, faster and fun... but try explaining that to people who only have cheese on the brain. Soooo basically I can never find a good team to do it with so, I take my cheese as it comes. When it's patched I imagine I will never find a good team to beat Crota with because all this cheese going around makes everyone lazy.
-
The ppl saying they cant find ppl.... Destiny lfg app... Reddit. Hell even here. Just provin theyre lazy.
-
So quick question, I'm wondering if you think the people that have cheesed Crota up until now will run the normal raid once HM is out just to get comfortable with everything before attempting to run it on hard? That would seem to make the most sense to me at least. I've run it once and we cheesed so I am going to wait until HM, find a team running normal and run with them to figure out how to run it legit. I'd go for that before the HM is released but I doubt many out there want to do it legit currently let alone help someone learn how to do it.

I don't hate you. I just don't see your point as valid. Why do it? Because you can. It takes less time. There isn't really a laziness aspect to it. People have lives, they've probably farmed it so much they know every line and sound, they want to move on. It's quick. It's grinding. When you grind a game, you don't intentially make the grind longer. You make it efficient. At least most people do. For some reason you're convinced otherwise. It is Bungies fault. They're in control of the arena and the boss. They have the ability to make it not happen. They're clearly choosing to let it happen, at least, in some ways (they have and will limit cheesing.) In fact, from a developer standpoint, it would be incredibly easy to prevent pushing boss mobs off a ledge. The most obvious: stop adding so many ledges. The second most: teleport the boss to its spawn point if it falls off. They're not doing this. So you're whole argument that your way is the "legit" way is out of the window. If Bungie is letting people do it, clearly they want players to be able to take mobs on how they want to. You're making more of a fuss over it than the game dev's are

People are saying they can find 6 cheesers but they can't find a regular group?? Lmao
-
Because all I got was 2 shards. Heck I got that outta the first chest plus dragons breath and all I did was walk over there and grab it. I cheesed him while I ate a cheese sandwich then he cheesed me with the reward of 2 shards. I ain't mad at nobody for cheesing or not cheesing. It's your game so play it how you want since it doesn't affect me anyhow
-
its harder to find a group of people that know how to do it than just finding a group of randoms on the forums
-
Edited by StiviX: 1/5/2015 11:37:38 PM1. I know how to do it 2. It's not hard 3. I don't have a dedicated team or clan to raid with 4. I don't have 12 hours to spare doing one raid with randoms that have no idea what they're doing and won't listen or just -blam!- around and waste time for shits n giggle after one wipe. 5. See 3 6. See 4

Edited by amessofamind: 1/5/2015 11:33:55 PMThere is no need to justify it to you, you're no more important than the ones that cheese. Pretty simple. As for myself, I've beat it legit (multiple times), it's not hard but you don't need to beat crota to get to 32. So who cares what others do. Maybe bungie shouldn't have went on vacation right after they released the dlc, then we wouldn't be having these stupid conversations.
-
I'd rather take an hour and a half to do three raids on the reset than rely on others not to fail so i can go to bed sooner.... (reset is at 4am for me) I don't hate you, I don't think you're an idiot it's just a matter of efficacy and when the hard raid drops and it's fixed I'll beat it legit several times then say goddamn this is boring i wish we could still cheese it....
-
Edited by Omnicron: 1/5/2015 11:31:15 PMI like cheese on Crota crackers. You can buy both from your nearest supermarket.
-
I don't. Can't even handle the level of legitness that goes on here.
-
1. Bungie Big fail 2. Bungie Big fail 3. Bungie Big fail ...
-
All the glitches in VoG that have never been fixed. Eye for an eye.
-
Laziness. Killed him legit enough times now. When hard mode comes out I'll do it legit again.
-
Technically you can justify anything from stealing a dollar to genocide. Our ideas of what's right and wrong are completely imaginary. So my justification would be...
Because I can.
-
It's cheating, there is no justification to do. Only how you rationalize it to yourself. Some say it makes it easier, or makes the grind easier, or you can't find good enough teams. No matter the justification, when hard mode comes out, a lot of people will be in trouble. We'll have thousands upon thousands of 32's that don't even know how to do the bridge section, let alone crota. Throw that in with however the mechanics change, it's an equation for trouble. I was fortunate enough to learn how to do this raid legitimately in the first 2 weeks, and even know ill sometimes find a legit team. On the other side of that sword, I don't have a raid group, so I'm with randoms 90% of the time, and as many of you know, most randoms just want cheese on their burger. I'm not oblivious to the fact that people will take the easy way out, but I implore you to learn the raid, and how to do it correctly, and then cheese if you wish. Do not hinder every hard mode team you will join because you decided to cheat and never learn. Good luck out there guardians, see you starside
-
If they do decide to patch this before the hard mode comes out, there is going to be a lot of butt-hurt going on when people are looking for groups and want experienced players for the hard mode...and you can't say you have experience in CE when you cheese the whole thing.
-
I do it here is my reason. All the work is not worth the end rewards. This week running through the entire raid got me nothing but shards and energies even crota. No weapons, no gear, no exotics, just radiant gear. Been doing the raid since it came out with all 3 characters, have completed it ever since the raid came out with all 3 characters. Still not a 32 on a single character this game just will not give me raid gear to save my god damn life. It is like the vault of glass 2.0 I will not be able to reach max rank until a freaking week before the next dlc comes out simply because the stupid RNG of this game will -blam!- me out of anything. Put simply that is why I will cheese Crota. Why put all the effort into this game if I will be rewarded with cheese as well.
-
I honestly don't care either way, kinda wish more people did it legit so I could get more practice but I know how to do it legit and all so ya.........
