Justify cheesing crota.
If you cheese crota, here are my assumptions of you.
1. It's too hard for you.
2. You're lazy.
3. You have never learned to do it the right way.
4. You think there's no problem with it.
5. You think it's cool.
6. You think it's bungie's fault.
7. You did it once and think bungie owes you a level 32 character.
8. "I don't have time" when you've played 700+ hours.
When the hard raid comes out and you're walking around clueless, I will laugh in your face and boot anyone who asks how to kill crota legit.
Edit: seems like everyone claims they can't find 5 other people. Not a valid reason. My friend did it solo and I did it with only one other person in 3 minutes. So try something else.
Edit 2: So, it comes down to this. People either agree with me or they hate me because they can't do it legit. I love these people! Haha.

The raid is far too easy and considering bungie decided to make loot drops even more frequent why not cheese? on week 1 of Crotas end I had 3 pieces of armour for my hunter, legs arms chest on my first go. 2. Iv spent far too much time on this game grinding the fu ck out of it from day one launch for all these Xmas noobs to go straight from level 20 to level 31 with 0 fu cking effort made. On that note it took majority of us from launch about 3 months to hit level 30 doing VOG week in and week out then bungie decides to let EVERYONE purchase level 31 armour therefor making VOG efforts absolutely pointless. All efforts wasted all time wasted week in and week out doing that raid. So from Christmas I have friends who bought this game it's now 6th jan and they hit level 31 bit unfair don't ya think? All my time effort and energy wasted doing VOG hard raid legit busting my balls off on tiger playlist so that all these mother fu ckers can buy the game at Xmas get level 31 complete VOG with very little effort needed may I add considering we had to do it 1-2 ranks below the required level (making it hard as f uck) why the f uck should peopl NOT cheese crota!

2 RepliesHonestly, it's just a video game. If it's personally satisfying to you to either "cheese" or do it legit, who cares? It doesn't affect you as another player, so neither side of the argument should be getting so salty.

I assume they do it because most destiny players want to minimize the amount of time they spend playing the game, but they still want the awards that they need everyday to not fall behind everyone. I think Bungie should take it as a sign when people don't want to play the game, but they feel like they need to so they don't fall behind their friends.

I certainly don't have time for 30 attempts with a group that has no idea what they're doing. I work a job, and I only have a couple of hours before and after to do anything I want to that day. It doesn't affect you. So why on earth do you care? I'm assuming it's the ego boost you get from telling yourself you're so much better than all those "lazy scrubs". How about I just kick you when you bring your bloated head into the hard raid?

The better question here is... Why [i]wouldn't[/i] you cheese Crota? Or any other encounter where an unchecked cheese is for that matter? Ever push Templar or Atheon over the side? Lord knows I did. When Bungle fixed it, I did it legit after that, and still do... Cheesing a boss saves time... Time is valuable to some folks. It's usually not a matter of skill or capability or capacity to learn, simply a matter of time. If the end result is the same in 2 minutes as I would get from doing it legit in 10 minutes, I take the two minute option 10 times out of 10... I don't lose a wink of sleep over it, neither should you :)

I think it ultimately comes down to #4. But it's probably more fun to beat the raid legitimately.

If you had a 1,000$ in your mailbox with a note saying "leave one dollar every Tuesday and I'll leave 1,000" what would you do? We all know your answer.. And here's mine for CROTA. Its there, so might as well use it and save TIME. Who wants to spend 1 hour 1/2 or more on level? It sucks when playing and cant answer the phone or simply press pause. And there is no way u cant beat the CROTA raid in 3 minutes guy. Stop w ur front and insults to players who play the game to its fullest

I just don't know why anyone cares so much either way. It's a game. People bought it and get to play how they like. If they miss out they miss out. Anyone super serious has raid friends at this stage anyways and won't be playing with unknown cheesers unless they need someone and they'll teach them then unless dicks. Or you'd teach them know. It's gonna be painful at some point regardless so why whine?
