I just learned to do it on my own as a Hunter, so I have a chance to get some gear. It's a specific strategy, I don't see anything wrong with it. Especially the lamp section, that's just being smart, not even exploiting. Beating the rest of it solo (past shriekers) is kinda iffy, but meh.
