Correct. Mass Effect will be remember LONG after Destiny is long gone. The best sci fi adventure in the last ten years(excluding the last GARBAGE 5 minutes). It was that good.... I enjoy Destiny, but Mass Effect is on Star Trek/Star Wars level in terms of sci fi impact/lore/character/story(again excluding that TRASH last 5 minutes) and feeling. Strictly opinion though.

You learn and do more before you leave the citadel in mass effect than you do before you finish all the Earth story missions in Destiny. Mass Effect's codex has more info than Destiny's grimore cards. Oh and the codex is IN the game. Not on a website. Even Mass Effect's side missions are more entertaining than most of Destiny's story missions.

I would agree with the op assessment about mass effect series.
-
Mass effect is shit I don't even know why you're trying to claim that it's good
-
I love Destiny, but your statement is absolutely, unequivocally true

Lore? Yes is agree

Don't care. Then go play ME and leave this community.

Mass Effect > everything else
-
I should slap you for thinking it wasn't
-
Completely agree. And I would add that Stars Wars: Knights of the Old Republic tops them both as far as story goes. I would love to see swkotor updated. I would but it again.
-
I don't think anyone here would try to prove otherwise. Though if they did, it would be their opinion and I won't argue because we all want different things from games.
-
Here here!
-
I don't think that was ever in question.

Mass Effect PvE and story was better than any game I've ever played. I actually felt motivated by the story and felt personally connected with some of the characters (love me some Legion and Garrus). I tell people to this day that if they love video games, especially scifi, they HAVE to play Mass Effect. But.. there ain't no Crucible in Mass Effect. I just have so much fun beating people's ass and that can't happen in Mass Effect.

Mass Effect: Single Player, Narrative-Driven RPG with 3PS mechanics and elements in a SciFi setting Destiny: Online Multiplayer, Gameplay-Driven FPS with some RPG mechanics and elements in a SciFi setting Point being that it's hard to resist comparing the two games because of the surface similarities, but they probably have more differences than commonalities.

Agree. I cared what happens in mass effect. I don't care what happens in destiny. Fps or rpg or mmo, doesn't matter. If I care about the game more, it is a better game. I have a lot of time in destiny but that is because bungie did one thing right, they made the game addicting as -blam!-. Fails on all the other levels. They created a need to progress and aquire. I have to have revenant shader. But when I get what I want, level 32 and the shader, it'll be over for me. Mass effect has replay ability because I want to play it again for the experience. Destiny has replay ability because they force you to replay everything. There is no end. And don't give me this 10 year franchise crap. You and everyone else knows that bungie has no -blam!-ing clue how this game will "end". There is no plan beyond making money.

Edited by TrAB418: 1/6/2015 8:27:14 PMMass effects in-game story and cut scenes make Destiny look like Pong.
-
Agreed

I don't remember putting 600 hours into all three ME combined. Or having as great as a co-op experience, making friends, etc. Come on......single player, strikes, raids, pvp.....stop trolling

Dragon ageeee

Yah, I was -blam!-ing Miranda all day long

Mass effect is a phonominal game series but you can't compare it to destiny, they are 2 COMPLETELY different styles of games. It's like comparing call of duty to nintendogs.
-
Can't, because what you say is the truth. In fact, you shouldn't compare a train wreck like Destiny to Mass Effect.
