Sympathy.
After Elliott Rodger did his little shooting spree at that college, our English teacher took most of the period to have a class discussion about it. I found the guys theatrics and logic to be funny. Other people however didn't like that. One girl had a cousin who went to the college 2 years ago and apparently that caused her enough emotional distress that she broke down and started crying in class. She is 17 btw.
Me and some other girl were the only sane people there. She was vocal about her opinions on the matter and got a lot of shit for it. I didn't say a damn thing the whole time because I was worried I might break out laughing and then I would get ostracized by everyone because I don't care about events that happened many miles away to people I've never met. I honestly just don't give my sympathy to people just for being alive and or dying. It's not logical. I live for my happiness and my happiness alone.
