[You guys came up with so many great ideas. I really wish Bungie had a look at the comments here.]
Come on, Bungie, give us the freedom to choose whatever suits our style best and don't let those awesome weapons you've designed become obsolete. Actually, don't let the stunning Vault of Glass (best content in the game) be consumed by the darkness.
I believe that Raids and its weapons should always be the at level cap. More weapons to choose from, more content to play.
Weapons are mostly situational and mixing them is part of a successful strategy (it's fun too). Having more to choose from just add to the game.
Edit: I'm not suggesting to automatically turn them into 331 attack weapons. Just give us a way to upgrade them to the current attack cap. I bet you guys can implement it in a sensible way.
Why would we go against the idea of having more relevant weapons at our disposal? It's like saying "I'd rather have less weapons, less content". Let's not be passively attached to an old format. Destiny is something new with immense potential.

Some great comments Bungie should pay some attention to:

"But what they decide to do with VOG weapons speaks to the future of the current raid weapons as well. Right now, there is an expiration date on my Fatebringer and that sucks, supremely, but now that same feeling isn't too far for my Black Hammer either. I'd like to carry these weapons with me as long as I am playing Destiny. Yeah, future weapons maybe better and I end up scraping these guns one day but I'd like to be able to decide for myself versus having no choice in the matter. Just my take on the situation".

"The problem lies within the way they have designed the upgrading system. They are going to have to re work how you upgrade weapons and armor. Yeah they could just update the VOC gear up to 32 and 331 but what happens when the House of Wolves comes out? Then they are going to have to update both Dark Below and VOC all over again the prevent them from being obsolete. They need to just make it were the players can choose the path they want to take. You choose what armor and weapons you want to upgrade to the highest rank. I mean make it a difficult task. I wouldn't mind the challenge and it would inspire players to be more creative with their characters rather than every single person wearing the same gear".

"Upgrading older legendary weapons could finally give a use for the Gunsmith beyond buying ammo and weapons at a low level. Not to mention it would help provide a larger variety of "good" weapons so that we would have more things to work towards. After all the various DLC's are done, just imagine how varied the weapon and armor selection would be. (Speaking of which, vendors should be able to upgrade armor as well.)"

VoG isn't irrelevant. The VoG weapons have unique perks and some of them have perks that are impossible to find on weapons from engrams. Vision of Confluence has full auto, you can't get any other scout with full auto. Fatebringer has firefly, no other hand cannon can get firefly. The 31 attack difference is significant, but the superior perks make up for it. So when your pissed off because you think your Vog gear is obsolete, think about the superior perks. Plus, all attack is equalised in crucible.

BUMP TO INFINITY AND BEYOND.

They'd have to increase the raid level as well otherwise it'd be too easy Why would they let us get 331raid weapons from a level 30 raid

What i think they should have done was choose a path at the start of vog. The old vog is repetitive, very fun and still exciting but it's repetitive. Rather then having all that gear change they should add content to the vault. For example for the old raid weapons (which would help with an updated version of the vog) and light level gear to make you thirty one in the original vog, update them slightly increasing there stats to compete with the stuff bought at the tower. But if you maybe went to campus nine, and there was a different vex gate or task over there to begin a different point of the vog, where you make new strategy and fight new bosses, and the light level cap is maxed as are the weapons.

I think they should have a system like the curx of crota for weapons. 1) The current raid (crota, house of wolves, and beyond) has a 8% chance to drop [the upgrade item, whatever it's called ]. 2) You take that item to the gun smith and he gives you a task. A super hard strike, kill a specific enemy in the hard raid, etx 3) You use the upgrade item on the gun or armor you want to upgrade to max. 4) the last 4 damage nodes are reset and you can now upgrade your weapon or armor.

I wouldn't mind if the VOG raid weapons at least matched the Vex's 323 damage. This would still give the edge to the DLC content, but increase interest in VOG Raiding.
-
They should upgrade the armour as well and have you earn them again. So you can be at max lvl with a bunch of armour combos. It would help make guardians look different. Most of all I don't want to have to say bye to my fatebringer. It still is my go to legendary

I think they should make a VOG with all lvl 33 enemies and requires the CE expansion to play and when HOW is released same for both CE and VOG again with all lvl 35 enemies requiring the HOW expansion thus making it not free content but making more people happy to pay for the expansions thus more money to be allotted to the development teams. In reality both Bungie and Activision have to make us want the expansions not force us into them like CE did to so many and segregated the community and forced the ones that wanted to keep up with their friends to buy the expansion. In all how they released TDB was mostly unsavory and made to many things obsolete to quickly and the worst part is Bungie/Activision is skirting around most major problems and they're the only people that can change the game for the better by listening to the community that is literally on their own site.

Make a lvl 33 version
