Seriously.
What use is it outside of PvP?
That's right - people who struggle to stay alive can have a second chance at dying again. Give me a Warlock whose build is based around staying alive any day of the week. A Warlock using self-res is basically waiting to die. They're holding the rest of the team back. They don't generate orbs unless they die. They don't activate supers unless they die. They're basically a drain on DPS and team strategy/cohesion. If you're a Warlock with self-res, [i]you're letting your team-mates down[/i].
When recruiting for Raids, I ask people if they use self-res and then turn them down if they say yes. I want my Warlocks to be team-players, not people concerned only about themselves.

Using self res actually is a huge help for the team. If you die in a bad spot you can self res so a teammate doesn't have to come get you. I've used mine several times to go on a suicide run to go pick up a teammate knowing I will most likely die, but can pick myself back up and get back to safety. I've also used it for suicide runs against bosses that are on their last leg, like -blam!- it I got this.

Not really u can only use it once I use it when I need to revive teammates in tough situations plus u titans and hunters die the same amount as us so shut up

In nightfall and raids if said warlock is last man standing or everyone dies said warlock can revive do a quick run and revive other plays and save the day. in hard vog it has its uses also. its like saying what does being a hunter and becoming invisible do? not a lot but it has its advantages.

It will have a use in PvP once that new helmet comes out that disorients enemies when you self res. Anyway, I usually have Radiant Skin on for Crota/normal VoG but if I'm going to be taking the relic for the team on Hard mode in VoG or something I put self res on because: 1) I can't use radiance while alive anyway because I'm holding the relic 2) if I do happen to go down the team won't wipe when the relic isn't grabbed

You're assuming they rely on it instead of using it to benefit the group. You can't just assume that every warlock died twice as much as everybody else on the team just cause they are sunsingers. Don't assume.

I don't base my game plan around dying and I dont think any warlock does, its just a great last resort option if I do die. I would say im a good player, with or without self res. However self res is a tool in my arsenal And I will use it

This is the stupidest post I've ever seen lol. You think self res sunsingers are waiting to die? I have a pretty solid k.d in both PvE and pvp. I use self res because WHEN I do eventually die because I'm not going to try my balls off every game, I can self res and spam nades for 10 seconds. When the VoG was still a thing I spawned orbs by killing vex with precision kills, and now I spawn them with precision kills to hive. We spawn 2 orbs with a scorch kill if we have the perk on. How do we not contribute to the team when we save your ass from having to start everything over? I would love to play against you in pvp to show you that we are more valuable than you think.

I see ur point. But u can't say uve never died. When ur team is a good team and u all die. How is not awesome that u have someone who can comeback? Yes there are noobs tht literally need it to be good. But there are also veterans who use it as a safety. If u don't understand tht ur narrow minded I hope u understand tht it's a very useful ability. Especially with an experienced team. Raid with me once I'll show u I hardly die. Ever. But say we're on vog? I'll solo mars while someone solos Venus. If you're skilled u know Venus is a hell of a lot easier and instead of saying okay don't kill him yet because I'll go dark u can kill him as fast as u need to and after I kill mine I can jump off really fast self res and be without darkness and grab the relic and go. Without the worry of having I hold back on Venus.

3 RepliesI use self-rez, but I will use it to prevent a wipe. Sure it can be used to pick me up when I'm down, but that also means that someone doesn't have to risk death to pick me up. It also means I can rush into a group of mobs that are attacking and pick someone up, die, self-rez, and then get out of the situation without risking the remaining members of the team. If the team is getting overwhelmed, I can pop it and set the world on fire to give the team a minute to breath as well. Consider it like using a Swiss army knife. One super, multiple uses. Not to mention that in CE I shit orbs because of my gauntlets, so in essence, I'm creating more orbs for my teammates than they are for me. Every class and its subclass has it's use in the game. Stop with the class bashing and work together with the community instead of against it.

5 RepliesFirst off. In order to gain the most potential out your warlock you must think like one.. Yea they may not be as strong as the other classes-but they play a good part. My teammates know that.. If im in v.w. mode im more proned for combat than self preservation.. if set up right..your recovery is naturally high..point blank. I like to set it up for high armor and recovery..NOW. WITH FINE TUNING IF YOUR NOVABOMBS AND ETC.. you can deal great damage..mosy don't expect a warlock-er to attack like hunters/titans...you expect them to hang in back...and what..just...toss grenades?-no...factor in the use of a good melee strategy..and go for nova bomb cool down versus energy drain..and ta daaa. Nowz im aware of my level and have more to learn..( please dont remind ne if thy gear and stats...i mean i am aware #clearly ) but i.will.be dayumed if i let you assume i am worthless...because of what character i choose.. if thats the case i can assume you suck because you may/or may not lack the Imaginativemind to pilot the warlock-ers I digress.. Now sunsinger is awesome'ish too #fordifferentreasonsthanvoidwalker ...because it pisses.your.enemies.off. self res to me is a second chance to fight. If my team needs more help with cooldowns for supers and grenades..then i have that ability..if i need to get in there and do damage the...leggo v.w. and blink-bishsmack(if you survive that melee)-blink-blink-novalikeboom lol j.k.
