I use have self revive on for the more challenging things in the game like the Nightfall and Raid (for certain parts in hard raid only; there's no need in normal). Though I may have this equipped, I never use it since I rarely die (not trying to brag). The problem that everyone has with Fireborn is the fact that a lot of stupid kids use it, then immediately die upon reviving. I assume this is why you hate it so much resulting in this thread? Those people use it as a crutch, but people like myself use it as a backup plan. Rather, an absolute last resort to prevent an unfortunate wipe. There is a huge difference between the two. I have never used self revive and hear my team laugh at me calling self res a crutch. It's often times a panicked "please tell me you have res!" followed by a sigh of relief.
