As a warlock that frequently uses self Rev I have to defend this because I am constantly at the front lines helping my team if my team mate goes down and is in a bad spot I can jump in there revive him and if I go down I can save myself and cover our butts with a barrage of grenades to keep enemies at bay. My teammates rely on me more than any one else because I have the balls to do what needs to be done for the team.

Exactly - your self-res has become a crutch for your team. Stop using it and watch your team improve.

My team is my 12 year old brother and his 12 year old friends and if it's not them it's people I help that have never been through the raids I'm the only skilled player in the situation so if you want to call it a "crutch" that's fine I take what is given to me to keep a team going.
