It's a buff, not a "crutch"
Considering It's usefulness it has to be a buff. Also, you're also stating that if you have self res you're going to die and have to use it. What about the other classes? They die, they can't res... Warlocks have to save their asses. Warlocks are the "crutch" themselves when the team fails.

If warlocks use self-res to save their arses, or their team's arses, then no-one will learn anything and no-one will improve. You're basically backing up my point. So many people rely on a self-res to save them that they continually do stupid things. They won't stop doing that until people stop saving their arses.

It clearly needs [i]some[/i] skill or people wouldn't be continuously dying and waiting for someone with self revive to save them.
