So, are you just now realizing that not every weapons, spec, ability ect.. is usefull and needed 100% of the time? Same reason why they added duel spec in World of Warcraft years ago, some specs are great for some encounters while they suck in others. Just how it is. Which is also why there are two specs to choose from. Sometimes it's better that someone can self res if they die as having said person alive doing damage is better than a dead guy doing nothing. It all depends on the situation, not to mention that warlocks spec has benefits for the entire raid which DOES help.
