It's call ce gear. Word of Crota is the new upgraded fatebringer and the song of yur is the new upgraded lmg. The reason the VOG gear is low is for the new players to get to lvl25-29 and play VOG and get those cool weapons to them get good enough weapons to compete in ce and get those cool weapons to be ready for the next dlc. I understand most if use have our favorites. Such as I still running with the fatebringer. They are not going to keep the original weapons around for the life of destiny. I hear where you are coming from but I doubt it will happen.
