I don't get the death singer fight. I have done it like a dozen times. I think the whole fight is glitched.
Is it really intended for us to ignore the knights an just draw out the wizard, kill the shrieker, get on top of a door frame and nuke the boss?
Then after the boss is dead, we are intended to run out and kill mobs for 5 minutes waiting for the checkpoint?
If you kill the mobs as you are working your way to the death singer, they just respawn. Is that intended? I wish bungie would start patching things because I don't think it is.

You got it right. Before I go in to the Death Singer, I kill off the acolytes and knights and guns, so I won't get hit. Remember, only go in to the Death Singer when she starts her song and everything starts flashing red. Otherwise, she moves around and blasts you to death.

I have done the fight many times the way you say, I made my comment because I don't think it's intended for knights to respawn after you kill them, and for the checkpoint to be given after such a delay after killing the boss.

This. So many unnecessary deaths. Easy burn as soon as she starts the liturgy.

Mobs (acolytes specifically) will continue to spawn in droves until all the Knights are dead. Clear out the last few and then Checkpoint.

Not sure but that's always how i've done it. The huge mob of knights is hell lol
