Now I'm not saying it wouldn't be nice to have the vog weapons upgraded but why does so many think they should be? Its old content now. Have none of you ever played a mmo or rpg before? As you progress you obtain newer stronger weapons. Like for those who have played ff7 for example, would you have bitched to SquareEnix that you wanted the buster sword to be upgradable because it was your favorite?

In a lot of other games it is your character that dictates your play style and new gear just means higher stats. With destiny the perks on the weapons play a major role with your character. They should stay relevant.
-
New weapons should be made with new or different combinations of perks so people can find that new favorite weapon. In my opinion using the same 3-5 weapons is boring.
-
It's not only because I like how they look, but because of their perks and good stats, why did you upgrade the Icebreaker if it's old content? or the Heart of the praxic fire? aren't those 2 "old content"? the whole point of the upgrade path is making good "old content" relevant.

I upgraded the exotics I liked merely because I could. Who in their right mind wouldn't? So your whole emphasis on me using upgraded "old content" is irrelevant. Especially since I made sure I stated first that I wouldn't mind seeing them upgraded. If anything, there shouldn't have been any upgrades at all. They should have included enough new weapons and armor in the dlc to make everything prior close to useless. Who wants to use the same weapons for the entire lifetime of a game? This isn't cod where once you unlock something you want, you use it forever. People who beg for upgrades are just contributing to the already miniscule amount of content this game already has.

You said it yourself:
I upgraded the exotics I liked merely because I could. Who in their right mind wouldn't?
Who in their right mind wouldn't upgrade great legendarys? =

Why dwell on a great legendary instead of wanting a new greater one? I still use my epilogue but once I have something that gives a substantial amount of higher damage, it will be replaced.
-
With that kind of logic, why not just give everyone 1 primary / 1 special / 1 heavy that you put XP into over time and eventually hits the max damage cap with every expansion. That'd be fun *eye-roll*
-
That's it! ;)

Please let me level my level 16 shingen to the max damage cap is how I see this. What would be the point of playing the new raids if I know the old one and it can give me the same damage cap.
