I think the armor should be upgradable as well.

No, just no. That would remove any reason to play the new raid/ dlcs

Yes that's the point of mmo, harder raids/ mission reward better gear. By your logic surely the beginner armour should be upgradable too light level 32? Of course not, it's the same with the raids.

Since the beginner gear requires no effort to obtain that would be awesome if you could level it to 32!
