As a company I'd like to think bungie won't want the vault to become obsolete, they've already pulled the game tight content wise anyway, why take some of that content and throw it away, I want to be able to choose for myself where I want to invest my time and which weapons I enjoy using, a better weapon may come around, but that would be my choice! Why the designers of the game/weapons and armor have decided to make their creations obsolete I don't know, I know if I'd designed them I'd want them to stay relevant. The vault weapons could be upgraded, but only a certain way, maybe by getting a drop in the vault on level 32 of the weapon you already have in a similar way to exotic weapon cores, then you have to fill it someway or other(not using the crucible please), then when it's full you have to take it to the gunsmith or xur to trigger a side story that finally gets you the new weapon, then you have to fill up new nodes to get it to the max damage weapon. I'd just like the whole game to stay relevant, come on bungie, sort it out.
