I'm just really curious, I like Destiny Lore so I would LOVE to hear your theories.
I think Forge of Gods is about the creation of the traveler and why it is giving us technology and helping us. Probably the raid is about killing the traveler since there is people that say the traveler is EVIL, and is just using us to help it self, making it selfish.
Anyways that's all I got, hope to read your theories soon.
(Edit 5) VERY IMPORTANT EDIT: I just got a hint from a fellow guardian, will wait till he allows me to say it under his name or no.
-----So the fellow guardian sent me a PM saying "
Hey, in response to you forge of the gods post, I want you to go to the beginning of the valus strike but look to the right of the cave instead of going left.
When the game first started there was nothing there, then before HoW there was just that little mining wheel, and now those two little pillars with the cave behind.
Just thought you would want to know.
I checked that out, and I confirmed that what he said is correct since I have a bunch of video clips saved of me playing each strike for the first time, and luckily I checked that cave back then. So FOG will be something about a drill/mine and they will find something? We are not sure yet.
EDIT 6: Another anonymous Guardian sent me a PM saying
"if you scan a few things on the mission "enemy of my enemy", your ghost says that they (Cabal) are looking for something and wont stop until they find it... connection to the drill/cave?"
I think so, that is very possible. Love the new ideas you guys got :D
EDIT: 687 REPLIES!!! Damn, I can't believe it
EDIT 2: 743 fkin replies, hell yaa. Lets get to 1k
EDIT 3: The boss will probably be a huge freaking phalanx that will hit us with his shield to another universe.
EDIT 4: DAYUM sun, 830 replies.
EDIT 5: I AM BACK AND ALIVE TO CREATE SOME THEORIESSS WOOP WOOP. Lmao last time this thread was edited was in October 1st. Dayum.

Edited by FdYAcsoyPKN83gLE: 12/19/2017 6:20:20 PMI discovered there was a book called "Forge of Gods", it is a sci-fi novel about aliens. Link: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Forge_of_God What do you think?
-
They will continue to support d1, but FotG will release for D1 after D2 has released.
-
-
It doesnt look like we will be getting vex void or forge of gods. At least not until after D2, if it isnt cut all together.
-
personally I think the forge of the gods DLC will be about how the traveler came to be on mars and how the vex god was created, linking it with Osiris, I think his interest in mercury lead him to find a greater vex power than the one located in the black garden that somehow changes him in some way to alter his path as a warlock. going from there I see the possibility of either finding Osiris and killing in a raid, or saving him in the raid as an ending to the dlc, strikes are in consecutive order finding clues that lead to Osiris and the story of his travels. hinting from the name I believe the endgame activity, whether it be like house of wolves arena, or a raid, I believe these activities will take place in an unknown "universe", now controlled by vex, so to speak where the traveler and the vex god came into existence, or were created. hence the forge of the gods. another version that could alter the story in some way is the traveler gives some sign of still being "alive" so to speak. If anyone has had ideas similar to this please add.

Here's my idea for the next DLC: The starting mission has you go into the warmind mine and secure the intel from Cabal. At the end of the mine, a mysterious Vexified-Warlock will appear similar to how Vex spawn and knock your guardian back as he takes the warmind's intel. You are giving more quests on Vex anomalies until you find out that the leader of them, and the Vexified-Warlock, is Osiris, the Speaker's old apprentice. You are then tasked to go to Mercury and reconstruct an ancient Vex portal, allowing transportation to the Vex's realm where you try to save Osiris but end up killing him. The raid of the DLC will before Osiris dies, he creates a Hydra to take his position as the Vex leader.

Guys rewatch the Destiny E3 video 2013 there's a lots of stuff I think from the forge of gods DLC like; supers as grenades and a warlock using a hunter's knife.
-
I just hope we finally get that winter planet we saw in the loading screen art.

If you are trying to predict future DLC you need to look at the directions they are taking rather than what the in-game stuff is telling you. What we know -In the same way TTK was called "The Dark Plague," the sequel is called "Destiny 2 - Shattered Suns." This would suggest the direction the story will go is to Osiris, who we already knew was going to play a much larger role in the future. -The Forge of Gods is going to be about the Cabal What we can predict -Since the Cabal in our Solar System are now effectively cut off from their Empire, the story can take two directions: A) The Introduction of the Bigger Cabal B) The Cabal searching for Warmind technology on Mars find something -To rule out A: Destiny was originally setup in a 3 teir system of Game-2DLC-Expansion. Every DLC rotating between one of the four races' story, the game effectively developing one race to its end with small bits of the others, and the expansion bringing in the Darkness aspect to that races story. Obviously this might not be correct, as we have just finished our first cycle of the game and MicroDLC may have eliminated the DLC like TDB and HoW, but this is what I base predictions on. The first game was Hive. It talked about Crota, the immediate threat that we could not beat, and then expanded to the greater ends of the Hive and how the Darkness affects it. We now know more about the Hive then any other race. The DLCs serve to prompt the next step in that races story. In the same way TDB prompted TTK, HoW will prompt their select expansion that will involve the House of Kings. So we can assume that FoG DLC would be a way to prompt the Cabal higher story. The Emporer is obviously where that story is, and thus we assume Forge of the Gods will not be about him- but a prompt to get to him. -So it goes to option B: The Cabal are searching on Mars for Vex and Warmind technology. Known Vex tech is the Black Garden, a major story element. Known Warmind tech is the remnants of Charlemagne's Vault (which originally would have housed Thorn) and Clovis Bray's Exo work. -So what does this mean for the future DLC?: -The next link in the Story is Osiris, which means something that happens during the upcoming Vex and/or Cabal story needs to get us there. I would suspect that to be Vex- as Osiris is in their network. So the Cabal are probably not going to the Vex tech, as the Vex will handle that aspect as well as because TTK already touched on it. Which means they are going to find Charlemagne's Vault and/or the origins of the Exo. So what does this mean -In the same way the Reef gave us insight into the Awoken, the next game should give us insight into the Exo. The Cabal DLC will likely hint at it Mostly through a more in-depth visit to Clovis Bray, the creator of the Exo. -We will learn more about the Warmind's plans. Rasputin, as of TTK, is trying to learn to step between worlds (I'm trying to make a thread about it if that statement sounds strange to you). He is also attmepting to protect something on Mars, and bring his brother and sister Warminds online. Misc stuff -The Faction items are currently staggered between the Base game, DLC 1 and DLC 2. It will likely stay in these three, but switch who has what. For example: Dead Orbit currently runs TDB reskins. In the DLC, it may run Base Game reskinned gear. I'll edit in stuff that I think of; or I will completely forget and this line will be useless.

There has ALWAYS been a mining wheel there

I'm thinking that the next expansion will take place out of our solar system. If anyone noticed the screen where you choose your missions while orbiting whatever planet you've been to most recently, it now says something along the lines of "Milky Way, Local Group" which was never there before the expansion. I think this was added as a hint that the next Destiny expansions will take place out of our Solar System, which makes going to the home world of the Cabal Empire an even more feasible idea. Just a thought, but I figured that it was interesting that they would specify which Galaxy and Solar System that we're in when the Taken King came out

My story idea (this is gonna get long):
First story mission begins with an assault on a Cabal base. Show more guardians than just the player's fireteam, either through ships or tanks bombarding the base, or random flashes from snipers taking out some Cabal heads. Occasionally this will come with small snippets of dialogue. This is important in showing that guardians aren't some three man army otherwise the war would have ended a long time ago. Eventually, the base would be breached and the player's fireteam would enter. A vanguard (likely Cayde) re-iterates the mission objective, take out the last powerful figurehead for the Cabal in the system. Players make their way through the base, with scripted events happening all the way to keep the players on edge. Make sure to show the cruelty of the Cabal if possible. They reach a large room, where the Primus or Val'us or whatever is meant to be. Instead, the room begins to flash with explosives. The players are made to run before they detonate. Once they make it outside, the Cabal have retreated into their ships. The last ship is shot down. Ghost says to Cayde over the comms, "I thought Cabal weren't meant to retreat." There is no response. Ghost attempts to contact him several more times, but cannot. The mission ends. A cutscene plays, showing Cayde's communication desk or whatever empty. Instead, the camera pans through the tower, showing people running and grabbing weapons. Ships being prepared with missiles or whatever. The cutscene ends showing the Vanguard grouped around a monitor displaying a massive Cabal fleet entering on the other side of the solar system. The next mission sees the player return to Phobos. A vanguard outpost has been secretly set up there, the newest social space. This space is specifically said to be the furthest out from the Tower the vanguard have ever built. Here, the guardian is made to do a few menial tasks. Have the people here seem confident and happy before sirens go off. Missile strike. Whoever has a ship is made to run. The player gives his ship up to retreating civilians and attempts to run away on foot. They make it to a cave with something cool in it. Cabal dropships fly over, but drop no troops. They fire a bit more at the outpost and fly off. The guardians ship returns and transports them to a larger carrier ship of some description. The people here have just seen months of work flattened in a few minutes. They're crushed. Mission ends. Cutscene shows more senseless acts of violence by the Cabal. Next mission begins with the player's return to Mars for a patrol. A couple of filler fights, before the players follow some Cabal into a relic iron mine. The mine has tight, dark halls. Bring some spookiness into it. Make it feel claustrophobic. Shaft opens up into a huge area. Cabal have formed a small defensive line, protecting some psions at a computer at the back of the area. Guardians barely make it into the room before the floor begins to shake. The room changes, revealing warmind-like patterns. Ghost chips in. "Charlemagne's vault... I don't believe it." Racks of weapons line the room. The Cabal force the guardians back with the weaponry. Ghost talks to the player as they run. "Whereas Rasputin was based on strategy and defence, Charlemagne was built for more... unconventional situations. For instance, if humans ever wanted to invade other worlds..." Mission ends after a few more firefights. Next mission (titled 'Of Kings and Emperors' ay) begins with bombardment of the Cosmodrome. Fallen are fleeing the sinking ship. A Ketch appears above the Cosmodrome, bearing the House of Kings insignia. Ghost tells you to make a beeline for it. Guardian makes it aboard, only to find themselves surrounded by Fallen. A Baron of the Kings steps forward. He wears a noticeable contraption over his mouthpiece. He speaks, in English. He tells the player of the mighty emperor of the Cabal and the second fleet. Ghost attempts to question his knowledge but the Baron doesn't answer. He proposes that the House of Kings will work with them for the duration of this problem, in return that the City forgets their 'past grievances.' Cutscene ends as the players exit the Ketch. Bombardment stops and the mission ends. I can't really think of anything else for specific filler missions, except to show the constant brutality of the Cabal's onslaught. Show Charlemagne's weaponry in action and the King's at war. The Reef can get involved too, but less than in previous DLCs. Kill a few bosses here and there, see some explosions and have a few casualties. Eventually, the Cabal destroy Mercury in revenge for the Vex's actions on Mars. Osiris returns to the Tower, his disciples in tow. Massive fight between the various parties in the Tower over whether to let him stay or not. Shaxx threatens to leave the Tower and the Vanguard caves. Osiris is sent to the reef, where he is welcomed. Osiris makes contact with the guardian and sends them on a few missions to Vex strongholds to get whatever information they can. Don't quite know how to wrap up that side plot. Eventually, Charlemagne and Rasputin go toe-to-toe. Charlemagne wins, but Rasputin seemingly self-destructs to destroy Charlemagne's warsats. The Cabal are revealed to have taken over a Vex stronghold. The Forge of Gods. With this technology, combined with the remnants of Charlemagne the Cabal begin to invade the other planets. A few strikes to defeat some bosses, before one of the last story missions beginning. The guardians are captured and sent to the Emperor's flagship and made to fight in an Arena. They escape, -blam!- shit up and make their way to the Emperor's throne room. Boss fight with a Primus and the Emperor escapes. Raid in the Vex stronghold. Awesome mechanics of the Vex raids combined with the Cabal's military. Kill the emperor. Last story mission after, tie up some loose ends. Last cutscene begins. The Baron from the Kings is allowed to meet the Speaker. Kings are about to leave but then a shot rings out. The Speaker is shot dead and the Kings fly off. The DLC ends with the Speaker dead, Osiris returned, relationships in the Tower strained, Mercury destroyed, Rasputin dead and a bit more bad stuff. This DLC is the Empire Strikes Back of Destiny (also kind of literally). So yeah, sorry about the long read.
My theory is that the sunbreakers are going to team up with the cabal and let the cabal use the power of their forge on mercury to get better technology. The drill in rubicon wastes is most likely drilling to charlmanges vault, a rumored area for a raid in pre scrapped destiny story that involved rogue guardians (see the connections). Zavala will probably be the main quest giver due to his beef with the sunbreakers. I have a huge theory about this on a different post I made a while back.
-
THE DLC WILL BE ABOUT SEX-CRAZED WEREWOLVES AND POWERFUL CHINESE DIPLOMATS INVOLVED IN A BITTER WAR OF ATTRITION OVER THE SPOILS OF A BOTCHED CASINO HEIST INVOLVING A TELEPATHIC GORILLA.

What they're looking for is the dark power that will allow them to kill guardians

traveler breaks more guardian save kind of

Holy crap... i know the drill spot because every time it changed, i would realize later and later i took a wrong turn. Funny how me being an idiot with directions helled me understand.
-
Cabal sent to take all planets, your job to not let them and find the leader on mars and wear his ass like a hat
-
Something that was cut from the base game with little story....that's all
-
as with "comet" maybe forge of gods is a code name for something else
-
There's a few places that are still locked away on Mars, I hope they take advantage of that. Also, Phobos is now an option for a location. Either that, or they finally launch Phobos at something. I'm also curious as to whether the Cabal will finally move past Mars. They're the most dug-in and slow-moving of our enemies, as far as their overall movement in our solar system. Also, just throwing it out there because hopefully devs are reading, we need more locations. Finish the swamps of Chicago, or literally any other Earth location. The dark side of the Moon. Another city on Mars. You don't need to create a whole new location like TTK, just give us more locations on existing planets.
-
Im guessing the distress signal sent from the Cabal ship in the dreadnaught goes to the Cabal emperor and he shows up with a bazillion shield dudes and the angry(berserk) modifier is always on.
-
Cabal command is mad that oryx wiped their forces on Mars. So they blame it on the gaurdians. Then I don't know
bungie can literally do anything because space magic
