Glimmer Farming?
Hey guardians.
Anyone know of any good glimmer farming methods?
Since the first DLC came out, and adjustments were made to the way upgrade on weapons were handled, glimmer has become so much more important in the game.
Anyone have any good methods for far in glimmer?

If you can get the Gatekeepers checkpoint on VoG that's the absolute best place. Pop a blue polyphage, kill the yellows, rinse & repeat.

4 RepliesI know good spots. But what I want to know is a good spot for each consumable. For example. I have a cabal spot. But I'm running low on cabal cunsumable item. However I have 98 ether seed. I need a spot to farm fallen.

Edited by Bullets Bukakke: 1/9/2015 9:04:40 AMExclusion zone Just kill the yellow bars run up to the phalanx and let them melee you The red bars arent worth much and its just a waste of time killing them Only kill enough to recharge your super Super one side of the drop ship and dispatch the other side as quick as possible (i got ruin wings so its always rocket) Each run take about 30seconds You will end up with more glimmer buffs then you start with Its important to use the super first, then the other kills recharge your super

10 RepliesI heard doing the 1sr story mission on Mars is good way to get glimmer when the ghost sets off the alarm and the drops hips are dropping the canal, several of them are yellow, kill all but one die and repeat after a couple wipes you should a good amount of glimmer, just make sure to remember to activate the access card? to get the glimmer bonus from the kills.

Exclusion zone lv 22. Farm the yellows in the beginning, wipe, rinse and repeat. With the re supply codes you should get roughly 460 glimmer each go. Just make sure to only kill the yellows or leave a few reds alive.

If you have team mates to help it goes much faster - all you need to do is stand together and you will all get glimmer for every kill. My method: pop resupply code, kill all enemies that drop from the first ship, then run out to the right hand side and stand on top of the dome building. Kill all the enemies from the second ship except the two phanlax's with shields, then let them two enemies kill you. If you accidentally kill all the enemies go to orbit. When you go to select the mission press square for a restart, but then press square again to start the mission. EDIT - if you keep the network keys that drop in your vault then you can essentially store a shit tonne more glimmer. Don't cash them in! (Well that's what I do anyways)

1 ReplyAs PJ Boom said below, the mission Exclusion Zone on Mars is your best bet for farming glimmer. Just don't forget to pop your resupply codes before going ham. Leave one enemy, rinse and repeat.

If you play on PSN, go to The Undying Mind strike. So many majors there and with the blue polyphage, you can stand to get a bunch of money. Or you can farm the heck outta The Dark Beyond. Kill everything except for the knight that exits the door. Die, rinse and repeat.

10 Replies[b]THE[/b] best spot to farm for glimmer is the Gatekeeper checkpoint in the VoG. There's more than 10 majors in there, and they all have a chance to drop those 200 glimmer packs (don't remember the name). I get max glimmer, starting from near 0 glimmer, in about an hour. And I still have those "glimmer packs" to turn in. So you can just hold onto those until you actually need them.
