Hey Bungie,
I realize you probably won't ever see this due to the large and probably uncountable forum posts from people who unreasonably want to tear your throats out for patching, patching the wrong things, Master Rahool, etc., but I wanted to offer you a level headed explanation as to why us gamers (yes that includes me) like to cheese, well, EVERYTHING. Keep in mind this doesn't apply to every single gamer but does apply to a great number.
We gamers like to gain vast amounts of glorious loot, yes, but to some... Cheesing is something more. When someone discovers a cheese or does one for the first time, they feel like they got away with something. That "fight the power" discovery mentality, even if the power is you awesome dudes, really motivates these "how the heck did they figure that out" cheeses. Some people I've met have said "Bungie should just stop patching cheeses we are going to find more anyway". To this I say no, you guys should keep patching. It's a developer's duty to uphold their games' rules and realities, not let them fall into anarchy. If that happened, people would abandon the game for there would be nothing to do, nothing to explore, nothing larger than the minions of the darkness to fight against.
In the end, what I'm trying to say is, do patch the cheeses (knowing all the while I will be among those finding the new ones) but also remember to listen to feedback on such things as vault space. These small things make the world for players and let them know you truly care (which I know you guys do more than any other studio I know of).
Cheers Bungie,
