Kabr went into the VoG alone.
And I forget the grimoire cards in regards to this, but it's hinted that the Stranger has a time travel device - she doesn't need to use the Vex waygates.

Not true, first time he went in he had a fire team, second time he went in alone and fell

It means he had a fireteam but he was the only survivor because they were erased from existance by the gorgons. Though he did go in alone the second time

He did have people with him, though so far only one has been named. The member was Praedyth, named by the Praedyth's Revenge sniper rifle. Praedyth and the others helped Kabr open the Vault but were erased from existence by the Templar and the Oracles.
