Boy, you really have no idea how some f2p games really are designed do you? If you want to remain naive, that's your business.
I use to work in the gaming industry so I'm just going to tell you that they aren't making games for your pure amusement. They make it to addict you to buy as much stuff as possible. Not all f2p games focus on that as heavily, but that depends on other avenues that they could be making money from, like advertising.
In the end, it's all about making profits. PERIOD. While Bungie does this in their own way, the difference is you are limited to how much you can spend. $20 max for an expansion that's it.
Microtransactions, no limit. Spend all your money if you want for all the conveniences in the game. And they entice you to buy those conveniences and advantages, as I seem to keep repeating myself.
Nothing wrong with either as they both serve the same purpose for company profits. But you need to understand, it's all about profit. Stop trying to put f2p games on top of some moral pedestal. They're not really focused on giving you free things.
