No, you make things difficult for yourself which makes more work for you. If you asked, you could of had the info you wanted and had to do less.

Go into a bar, ask a question, the leave? that doesnt sound fun at all.. instead, sneaking up on the bar, collecting information, trying to escape, probably failing and then finally escaping, that sounds more fun.. and if you take this as "work" then i dont even know why you are here..
