I don't know if you remember or will see this but you're forgetting about the Jovian's and the golden age part. We colonized moons of jovian planets, which fell first to the darkness. Xur is of the Jovian's, somehow able to travel between the jovian (gas) planets and earth. It is said that "the light" hurts them, also that there are 9 levithian intelligences that now rule over those planets. It is assumed that they are descendants of those humans, much like how awoken are humans transformed. Just something to maybe add

  • Also to edit the vex section...dinklebot says "they don't match any known life forms." Also, in one card it states that they came from outside our system, since they have destroyed planets for being in there way (or was that cabal?)

  • that was the Cabal; the Vex seek to terraform planets into giant machines for whatever purpose. the Cabal prefer to destroy or conquer them to show off their military prowess.

  • That's what I was thinking. What do you think about the jovian part?

  • not sure. I would say that the Jovians were wiped out by the Darkness, but Xur and the Nine somehow escaped. the Nine want to rebuild their species, but in order to do that they need funds, which comes from them making Xur sell things that Guardians might want. I say "making him" because he frequently says things like "my will is not my own" which clearly implies that the Nine are using him as a sort of "cash cow". once they have what they need, Xur will disappear and the Jovians will rebuild. there is probably something in the Strange Coins that is vital to the Jovian's survival, perhaps their lifeforce. that would explain why Xur wants the coins more than anything else. and you can bet your bottom glimmer he'll leave without selling Gjallarhorn again!

  • Jovian's are those that survived the collapse due to some alien force. They are deep space warminds, levithians. Look up 'the nine' card

  • Well when you do look under legends and mysteries. So far I have one about what I think to be Rasputin talking about the gardener, and that

  • got both of those, Gjallarhorn is well worth it and Hard Light is a bit meh. and like you said, a coherent story is likely to cost us another £20.
