Before the engram update, I got "The Devil You Know" from an engram. I used it through most of the VoG and I still carry it on my Titan.

Mine was the calming fusion rifle, from FWC. Came with arc damage, max reload speed, and a better charge rate than a lot of fusion rifles. Still have it to this day.

How on earth would I remember that? I got this game at launch. I do however remember my first exotic; Suros Regime. Got that bad boy second week the game was out for coming 2nd place in Crucible.
