So what if they do? I'll tell you what i told the other guy. Empathy. If they want to shun you then let them. Don't give it any thought. You can continue living your life and make some new friends to make up for the ones that have turned you down

I have social anxiety though. It'll be really hard for me to meet new people.

I know you don't know any of us irl but you can tell that some of us care enough to help. Meeting someone foreal can be just as easy as it is on here. Say you see a guy in gamestop or walmart looking at two games, probably trying to compare them. Ask if he is and then help him with it. Then you could mention playing online and boom, a conversation starts and a friend is made. It's all about the situation. I'm getting tired so i'm sorry if i'm not much help

Actually this is good even as practice

New people like trying to get dates? If so online dating can help with that. Actually may be a site you can just meet friends in the area too. I have social anxiety and I found it best to do online dating cause I could text the person for awhile and get to know them then eventually work my way to talking on phone then meet them in person. Eventually you just gotta brave up and think to yourself "to hell with it" and do it. If they don't like you then no loss on you.

Not just dates, like everyone.

It was like that for me and still is sometimes. Once I started working again I was pretty much forced into meeting new people. Honestly it's just about taking a chance and opening up and just talking. You don't have nothing to lose. If they don't like you then so be it, -blam!- them, if they do then ya might have made a new friend.
