What troubles you, friend?

Well, sir. I am feeling a bit down about where I am in life. I have many things to be thankful for. My wife makes a good living, so much so I was able to quit my job, which was good paying as well, to find a new career. I have moved into nonprofit working having gotten a contract position as a project manager. Pay is really bad, but it's what I wanted. But at times I think about how much better we could be living, if I would have stayed with my operations job. And when my year is up, I am not sure what I will do. Whether I will go back into the business world or try to stay in the lower paying nonprofit world. I feel a bit down because I am not sure where my place is...and that I am not 100% grateful about being able to quit my career and follow a dream. 99.9% of people do not have that luxury. Help?

I should go for, personally, the nonprofit position. With your wife's permission. Since she makes the most money, and that is indeed enough, I would go with that. Its what you want. You could've been in a job you hated for years. Being able to get the job you want, and above all enjoy, is something few people have. As long as your wife is okay with it, and you will be making enough money combined to survive, I don't see much of a problem.
of course, being a young teen never having had a job, you could completely disregard everything I have said.
You're wise. And age makes no matter, sometimes it's nice hearing an opinion. Thx
