Desperate to save herald, A2and Connor leave the hotel and trek through miles of plains until reaching a mountain pass.

*walks with the scout in silence, trying to figure out a non-lethal way of ditching him*

All of a sudden your small group is attacked by ghostly spectral figures. The guard draws his sword and rushes the figures while urging you to run. "Fly you fool."

*Meddlesome conscience prompts me to instead stay and fight. I experimentally try to siphon energy from one of the shades, hoping that it will accomplish something and that the scout won't notice*

You succeed in drawing power from the shade allowing you to control it. The shade is drawing back it's arrow and shoots the remaining shade about to kill the scout. Then the shade crumbles into dust.

*blinks a little at the unexpected results, but decides not to look this particular gift horse in the mouth* *turns to the scout to see if he noticed*

The scout gets up from off the ground and surveys his surroundings. He looks at you in awe. What are you?

*shrugs* Honestly? More trouble than I'm worth. You should go rejoin your group; apparently I can handle myself out here. Thank you for your guidance. *beckons Conner and turns to leave*

Inquisition forces? I've never heard of them.

They are professional demon hunters. When my kind comes through the fade rifts, they are very confused to be in this plane of existence. Thus they lash out in terror and are killed by the Inquisition. We can't tell them why we are here or they will attack us. No they will not. However, they will notice the necklace so you will need to take it off me. There is no way around them so just walk up to their camp and put your hands in the air.

Once he has discussed things with the man, he says to you* "You are aware that to the south is full of spectral demons correct? We have set up this camp to await further reinforcements to deal with them. i am afraid it's just to dangerous for us to allow you to go wandering down there."

*eyes widen slightly* My lord, if it is as dangerous as you say, I [i]must[/i] pass; my uncle and his family are the only family I have left. I have to know that they, at least, are safe; I have to reach them. Please. I am not myself completely helpless, and his farm is not in the Deep South. I would not have to venture far beyond this pass.

The man strokes his beard in concentration. He then motions toward the man he was talking to earlier to come forward. "Varric I want you to escort this man to his uncles farm. Then I want you report back here" he turns to you "you may pass with my scout. Good luck.

Edited by Elder1Herald: 1/12/2015 5:27:56 PMThese mountains are blocking our passage. The only way to get past them will be by going through them. The problem is that a band of inquisition forces have put up a checkpoint here and we will have to go through it.
