Short answer: it's boring.
Long answer: Bungie is attempting to make people play for months, for 10 years even as they planned. But the story is crap, the rewards are crap, and it's a video game.. there's been no game I've ever played this long, so kudos on that.. but it's been exhausted. It's not an MMO, and it's not skyrim or GTA with endless possibilities. Boring repetitive content cannot keep up the game for so long..I wish it was though. Why can't it be a first person shooter skyrim with that about of depth and lore and activities? With that much money as a budget? I don't know.. lazyness or selling out. But it's a damn shame. THey won game of the year completely undeservedly and now they're all happy for making a boring game sell millions of copies.
One way they could keep me in the loop at this point, as battlefield did for so long, is pvp PROGRESSION. I love pvp, but there's no incentive! Grinding for hours just to get marks feels pointless. There's no new things to unlock, or worthwhile rewards. At lvl 30+ what the hell do I need blue items for? Proper crucible system would make lots of people stay.
My time on destiny has now shrunk down to an hour every tuesday with my two mates to do the nightfall to hopefully bag a hawkmoon to complete my collection, and that's that..
THE GAME HAS BURNT OUT. It started well and I had high hopes for the expansion but it's terrible and I have only hate for it. Your welcome for my 90 quid bungie. Don't worry, you'll be robbing me again when destiny 2 comes out you bastards.
Lemme know if you guys have similar feelings or in fact opposite! Why do you love/hate destiny? Maybe you can change my mind
