Kabr did not have a fireteam he was alone:

- no where does it say he had others with him. He said it can't be opened alone but he did, don't misinterpret this part.

This is what's left." - Unknown -Praedyth's Timepiece It's largely agreed upon that Kabr's fireteam was erased from existence by The Vex in the Vault of Glass. This is why Kabr was alone, but wasn't alone, Praedyth being one of the only other fireteam members to be explicitly named.

[b]There was no one with me [/b](as in no one was with him when he opened it and entered) [b]but I was not alone [/b][u](referring to the vex, which he will come to see and fight INSIDE THE VAULT)[/u].

He can't remember anyone else with him because they where essentially erased from existence by the gorgons so he would not remember anyone with him

Remember how the Vex control all space and time? When Kabr's fureteam opened the vault, they were not string enough and got trapped in the dark corners of time, effectively erasing tgem from existence. Kabr may have written what we see jn grimoire while hiding from the vex in the vault, and after, died.
