is the walking dead really that great?
I've never been a fan of that zombie stuff, but my friends seem to be in love with the show the walking dead. I tried to watch it, expecting some action filled zombie survival stuff...but got this slow, uneventful, boring mess. that's just my opinion.
maybe i just don't find those kind of shows very interesting I dunno.
But is it really that good? What's the appeal to it? Why do people like the walking dead?

I enjoyed it for awhile, and was halfway through season four, but when I heard that one of my favorite characters got killed in Season 5, I kinda dropped it because I realized that there's no point in watching a show where everyone's eventually going to die. There may be a light at the end of this tunnel, but there's too much darkness to get through before getting there.

I love it. Watch it from season 1 it doesn't come back till the 8th of February ypu got lots of time :)

Season 3 and the first half of Season 4, it's a definite lull. Then the second half of S4 and S5 so far are -blam!-ing amazing.

It's much better on in the earlier episodes in my opinion. Then they pump it up with so much drama that it's almost impossible to enjoy, personally.

2 RepliesI think the appeal to it is the overall story that most people started watching from season 1 or season 2. If you just jump in I can see how you thought it was slow and, some episodes are infact slow but, those are the ones that is developing the character's story. Another thing is once you start to get attached to a character they usually die and you're like ohhh nooo. In short it's something you have to watch from the beginning.

4 RepliesThe walking dead is really about what happens to people in a zombie apocalypse instead of the zombies. While the tv is decent at best the comics are a far superior option if choosing between the two.

My friend explained why he likes it, because it is the most realistic way a zombie apocalypse would end up. But I still don't watch it.

It's pretty good. It's like a 7/10 or an 8/10. It's good but you don't have to watch it. I've seen better shows. It's very entertaining though.
