Pretty sure its been beaten to death but..
Does anyone know how I can come about in getting exotic bounties? I read somewhere if you turn in all daily bounties you will get some exotic ones, but I have done that and no such luck. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!!!

I do bounties ALL the time and I got 3. Every time I log on to play I knock out at least 3 or so bounties. It's definitely random, but more bounties = more chances.

1 Reply1 word...random....you can turn in all or 1 at a time and still is random..I've been playing since week 2 and only just got pocket infinity bounty...been seeing thorn bad juju and invective none stop

Wish they would often more than just 5. Just to change it up, just a different way to get exotics I don't have.

3 RepliesPeople always say hand in as many as you can at once, and thats fine if it worked for them but I've never tried to get them and have had loads. Taking a quick, rough count I'd say I've been offered about 25 or more. I'd already done them before the DLC, re-did 4 of them after (upgraded Thorn with Xûr, sod doing that bounty again!) and I've done Invective an extra 3 times and SGA 6 times (got it again today). The rest I just abandoned. Yet a friend of mine has had about 5 in the same time frame, he didn't get any for a long time then read about Vanguard level. He hadn't got his to level 3 and read you needed that. So he levelled up and got his first almost straight away. I'm sure I had my first before I was level 3 but maybe not. All my characters have their Vanguard levels above 3 and all of them get exotic bounties. Maybe something in it.

Keep at it...i wait to hand in all bounties for erin vanguard ect to use a telematry and i get at least 1 a week

2% chance, just keep turning them in. Some will say turn in many at once but that doesn't change your percentage, just your chance.

I suggest turning in 10 at a time. On average (at lease in my case) I receive 3 (1 per character) exotic bounties per week but delete them since most of the time they are either Thorn, Invective, or PI. Even if you do Eris missions there is a chance of one appearing after you turn in her missions.

Totally random. I used to get them all the time back in September/October, then didn't get any again until after TDB. Just got one a few days ago by turning in 1 bounty. Turning in multiple at a time only seems better since it's multiple small chances to get the exotic bounty, though it doesn't decrease your chances.

I get exotic bounties when press the turn in button rapidly with three or more. Even got pocket infinity from Eris that way.

Its a 2% chance means more bounties result in higher chance for a exotic bountie but the exotic ones arent that great thorn is cool but boring to do and takes very long

1 ReplyHmm I dunno. I've never turned all 10 at once but I've gotten plenty of exotic bounties numerous times, mostly repeats since I have all the bounty weapons. I usually turned in 5-7 bounties at a time but I've gotten exotic bounties by turning one or two in. I honestly think it's just another RNG bullcrap drop that happens, but I do some bounties everyday. Mostly the vanguard ones since I really don't dig the crucible. I lost interest in the multiplayer stuff with CoD. Crucible isn't much better.

Save up at least 5 bounties and trade them in as fast as you can. Seriously, button mash.

Save up and complete 10 bounties and turn them all in at once. Those are your best odds. It's completely random. I didn't get an exotic bounty until I was well into 2 months of playing. Others get them all the time. Even still though with 14 days of game time in. I've only ever had 3 exotic bounties.

2 RepliesYou can get the Exotic Mentor bounty from any bounty turn in. The more Bounties you turn in at once gives you more exp/reputation per bounty and seems to give you a slightly higher chance for a mentor bounty. Also, you can get the exotic bounties from turning in Eris bounties as well, adn I assume that would be true for Crucible and IB bounties. The basic idea is that you pick 3-5 easy to do bounties an evening and just do those. Look for bounties that synergy well, like 100 kills without dying and 9000 exp without dying and 100 precision kills. Or Fallen Leaders + venus patrol + super kills (Venus has a great spot in Ishtar cliffs to farm Fallen or Vex majors + super kills, also ember caves loop). Another example is Mars patrol, cabal/vex leaders. Etc. Knock out the Eris bounties on teh moon or earth replaying the story missions. Good luck.

It is random. Just keep doing bounties and you'll get one eventually. Maybe.

Now I get them popping up nearly every week or every other week at the most. HTH
