This is Activision we're talking about. I wouldn't put it past them to cut content in order to make a buck.

It's not 'cut'. It's released to a set schedule. HOW might even be ready now. Releasing it would make no sense. It was all laid out from before you bought the game. Exactly what was included in the base game. The season pass wasn't hidden. You bought the game knowing you would have to buy it to fully experience the game.

See the difference between laying something out for a dlc that actually isn't already in the game files is rather large. The zones are finished and the only thing separating the players for the completely textured zones are doors. I have no problem with stuff being added in a download later. I do have an enormously problem with pulling content and not even bothering pulling it off the disc.
-
Why do you have a problem with this? I'd rather a lot of dlc was already on the disk. Spares a huge download.
-
If I buy a disc I should get everything that is on that disc without having to pay for it twice and it sets a dangerous trend. Publishers can push devs to lock even more content behind pay walls. Also there is shit for content in destiny. Had there been more then I wouldn't care as much. I just don't get how people are ok with essentially paying for the same lines of code twice

I'd rather it was free, yes, I'd rather there was more content, yes. I'm a realist. At the end of the day I just accept the fact that there will be buyable dlc , as this is a way for developers/publishers to make money. Which is what they need to do to stay running. If I can accept all these facts, it becomes better that the dlc is on the disk, because I've tried downloading 4gb dlcs for huge releases such as cod and battlefield before and it can be a free for all, with huge downloading times as everyone scrambles to get the dlc all at once. I would suggest if you can't accept these facts, your problem is not with bungie or Activision, just with the world economy and how companies are forced to make money just to stay in business.

So I assume you're never off Google Earth flight simulator? All that map. I mean, there's nothing to actually do on it except fly around it but same thing right?

We should sue Google! They made a complete game but don't let us access the actual levels where we can do something! Everything is already there, they just need 5 minutes to set some spawn points for some enemies and we have a ginormous game!
-
Part of it was finished so they put it on the disc. You would have really rather downloaded it all later?

Edited by sergantsnipes05: 1/14/2015 11:42:19 AMDo everybody a favor. Go inside the HOW area on the moon. Then come back and say it's not finished. And yes. I would have rather it was all a download later because I wouldn't have paid for it already

You really want Bungie to open up the bit you've 'paid for' so you can zoom around empty maps or shoot level 20 fallen mobs with no connected missions? You know what? I agree with you there. They should let you in so can drink in the emptiness and maybe meditate on how much better it would be if this was finished content.
