Quite funny how when TDB came out, none of us had to download anything.

I guess you don't remember the 2.5GB download a couple of weeks before the TDB started.

Oh I remember. If I recall, Bungie stated that it was to make sure that when TBD came out, everything would run smoothly. So now you're saying that Bungie secretly installed it before release date? Who does that? Every other game I have bought DLC for, I had to download it after purchasing the content.

They did that mainly to make sure people could have a set timer for the raid race to see who would finish first (just a guess not actually stating a fact, just a guess)

Edited by gr1zzlar: 1/14/2015 11:15:21 AMConsidering the content, weapons/armor/Eris etc is available to everyone, they had Tom implement it in a way that didn't require a specific download. So patch it in two weeks prior, that way when the servers launch with new content it's available to everyone. Then with your purchase your able to get full access to the content. Just off the top of my head Diablo 3 for pc did the same.
