so you're saying the update before the DLC was for everyone, AND not part of the DLC...

The update was because in this game, what dlc owners and non dlc owners do are intertwined. It is impossible to keep both inter grated without giving both some level of access. And my point is that it was not and was never a part of the original game. Not that non dlc owners could access parts of it.
